Parents: we are cordially inviting you to our "Fall Festival" on Tuesday, October 31st at Wilbur Lucas Elementary. The Festival will begin at 9:45 a.m. for students in PreK - 2nd grade and from 1:30 pm. for 3rd - 6th grades. Remember that bags are not allowed inside the school, just plan accordingly. We'll be happy to see you.

Dear Parents: Today we had a illness medical emergency with one of our students and the ambulance and parents responded. Our students and staff were not exposed to any danger at any time. Counseling Guidance Class Lesson
It is very crucial for the counselor’s first yearly lesson to explain to all the students the proactive role of the school counselor in the school. Mrs. Cantú’s first yearly lesson explains her proactive role in a meaningful engaging interactive way. On her first lesson Mrs Cantu dresses up as a Pirate and introduces her first lesson by playing with the students a scavenger hunt to look for the lost treasure. The students learn the active role of the school counselor by finding the hidden treasure. Mrs. Cantú explains her role by explaining the counselor’s meaning of each treasure found. The students love to pretend to be a pirate for a day, enjoy the scavenger hunt game, learn the crucial role of the school counselor, but most of all they they are reminded that they all represent the diamonds of our school treasure chest. 💎🐯💎

Dear Parents, we are asking for your help by NOT allowing your child to bring "One Chip Challenge" to school, as the one in the picture. Those items are prohibited for students to bring to our school because students can get sick by eating those chips. Thank you for your help.

Valley View ISD Homecoming Parade was a great success! Our Wilbur E. Lucas Student Council and Athletics team enjoyed participating in our community district rally. We would like to give a special thanks to our teachers, staff, and administration who volunteered to assist in this community event!

Good morning parents: Starting on Monday September 18th, In order to facilitate and accelerate the Morning Drop off at Wilbur Lucas Elementary, the Entry gate on McColl will be open for those parents who will park their cars and get down to bring their children in. The gate on Olmo St. will be open for those who will make a line with their cars, and drop off their children from their cars. We ask for your collaboration. Buenas dias padres: Para acelerar el proceso de llegada de los estudiantes en la mañana, le informamos que la entrada de McColl estara abierta para aquellos carros que se estacionan y sus padres caminan a sus hijos hasta la puerta principal. La entrada de calle Olmo estara abierta para la linea de carros que traen a sus hijos y los bajan desde sus carros. Esperamos su colaboracion.
Our school hosted our first PTO today, Tuesday, September 12, 2023. We had amazing presentations by our school administration, Mrs. Aguirre (Principal), Ms. Silva (Assistant Principal), Mrs. Cantu (counselor), Mrs. Reyna (Parental Liaison), and our Valley View School District Police Officers. Our PTO officers were re-elected, Mrs. Suhey Carrillo, Mrs. Yadira Gonzalez, Mrs. Anahi Sanchez and Mrs. Claudia Gamez was newly elected officer for the school year 2023-2024. We also had our 3rd-grade students performing this evening, We would like to give a special thanks to our 3rd-grade teachers and students for their amazing performances in honor of the two major celebrations of the month “Patriot Day” and “16 de Septiembre.”
