We will be having a Title 1 Fall Parent Conference on October 15, 2022. This event will be on a Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Valley View Elementary Cafeteria. Fine Arts Academy Students and Mariachi will be performing.
Good afternoon parents of Wilbur E. Lucas. If you have a student in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade, this week is very important for them. This week they will be taking their Pre-Test and 1st Six Weeks Test. Because they are in STAAR Tested Grade Level, these tests take on additional importance. We want all students to do their best and you can help us by ensuring that your children do the following:
1. Get a good night's sleep.
2. Eat a good breakfast.
3. That they are present and on time to school.

Debido a que están en el nivel de grado evaluado por STAAR, estas pruebas adquieren una importancia adicional. Queremos que todos los estudiantes den lo mejor de sí y ustedes pueden ayudarnos asegurándose de que sus hijos hagan lo siguiente:
1. Duerman bien por la noche.
2. Coman un buen desayuno.
3. Que estén presentes y a tiempo en la escuela.

UIL Practice:
Dates - Wednesday & Thursday
Time - 7:00 am - 7:30 am or 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Depending on the event and the coach, your child will practice on Wednesday and/or Thursday in the morning or after school.

Good afternoon Parents of Wilbur E. Lucas. As you all know, Attendance is a crucial component of having a successful year at school. We want to promote Perfect Attendance for all of our students and we have come up with an idea. We will be having an Attendance Contest next week. If this contest is successful and our attendance increases, we can have it every week. I have posted a flyer with all the details and I will explain it below:
Attendance Contest
1. Every Class will compete to have Perfect Attendance Monday - Thursday.
2. All Classrooms that have Perfect Attendance Monday - Thursday will have their choice of Fun Friday.
3. Fun Friday choices are Superhero Day, Pajama Day, Device Day, or Freestyle Day.
4. Device Day will be the last 30 minutes of class but the other choice are all day so Choose Wisely and Celebrate Perfect Attendance for your class.
We will start the Attendance Contest on Monday, September 26, 2022 so let's all be Present on Monday,

Buenas tardes Padres de Wilbur E. Lucas. Como todos saben, la asistencia es un componente critico para tener un año escolar exitoso. Queremos promover la asistencia perfecta para todos nuestros estudiantes y se nos ocurrió una idea. Tendremos un concurso de asistencia la próxima semana. Si este concurso tiene éxito y nuestra asistencia aumenta, podemos tenerlo todas las semanas. He publicado unos folletos con todos los detalles y les explicare a continuación:
Concurso de Asistencia
1. Cada clase competirá para tener asistencia perfecta de lunes a jueves.
2. Todos los salones de clase que tengan asistencia perfecta de lunes a jueves tendrán su opción de Viernes Divertido.
3. Las opciones de Viernes Divertido son el Día del Superhéroe, el Día del Pijama, el Día del Dispositivo o el Día del Estilo Libre.
4. El día del dispositivo serán los últimos 30 minutos de clase, pero las otras opciónes son todo el día, así que elijan sabiamente y celebren la asistencia perfecta para su clase.

Good afternoon parents of Wilbur E. Lucas. I hope that you are all doing well and are excited for the weekend. I hope that you enjoy the time with family. I would like to review a few things with you today.
1. Fall Picture Day: We are scheduled to have our Fall Pictures on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Students are encouraged to dress in their Sunday's best.
2. Our Winter Tiger Jackets are ready to be ordered. It does take about 5-6 weeks to receive them so our deadline for order is October 5, 2022.
I have posted two flyers with additional information about these two items.

1. Día de la fotografía de otoño: Estamos programados para tener nuestras fotografías de otoño el miércoles 28 de septiembre de 2022. Les pedimos a los estudiantes que se usen lo mejor del domingo.
2. Nuestras chaquetas Tigere de imbierno están listas para ser ordenadas. Se tarda entre 5 y 6 semanas en recibirlas, por lo que nuestra fecha límite para realizar el pedido es el 5 de octubre de 2022.

Good morning parents of Wilbur E. Lucas. We would like all of our Students, Parents, Teachers, and Staff to show unity and solidarity tomorrow, September 23, 2022 and next Friday, September 30, 2022 by wearing Yellow to Stand Together Against Childhood Cancer. This is only a small way that we can show our students or any student out there in other campuses or districts that we have their backs.
We encourage everyone to wear yellow tomorrow, September 23, 2022.

Buenos días padres de Wilbur E. Lucas.
